How do I sign up for the service?
All the information we need is gathered on the 'Buy' page.
Why do you need my IMEI number?
We need your IMEI number to give you a unique activation code to start using the software.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We use Paypal as our payment gateway and you can pay using all major credit and debit cards such as Mastercard, Visa, Maestro, Amex, Solo and Visa Debit. You can also use Paypal to pay via direct Bank transfer and your Mobile Phone if you register with them.
Are my payment details secure?
Txt2Lock and Information Mobile Ltd will have no access to your card or payment details. Paypal are a trusted payment gateway owned by EBay International Ltd. If you still have concerns please visit www.paypal.com for more information.
Will you sell my information to other companies?
No! We will not use your information for anything other than the Txt2Lock service.
How do I install the software?
Upon successful payment you will receive an email containing the details you have provided us as well as details on to how to use and install the software. We have tried to make this as easy as possible for you and, whilst we do not feel you need an instruction manual, we have provided this in presentation, video and word document format.
I didn't receive a Text message to install the software.
We realise there can be times where the Mobile Network Operators fail to deliver Text messages so we give you the direct download link in the welcome email as well. You can either type this directly into your handsets Web browser or download the application to your Computer and send it to your phone via PC suite, Bluetooth or Email.
I am having problems installing the software. What should I do?
If you are having problems installing the software please use the contact us form on the website to get in touch and we will assist you as quickly as possible. Please make sure any previous versions are uninstalled prior to reinstalling either by the application itself or your handsets application manager.
How can I uninstall Txt2Lock from my handset?
The application has an uninstall feature built in for security reasons. Please consult the instruction manual for this simple procedure.
What handsets does the software work on?
Txt2Lock will currently work on all Nokia handsets running the Symbian s60 operating system. We are currently developing for other Handsets as well as adding new features, which will be Free to existing users.
Why are only Nokia handsets compatible?
Txt2Lock will currently only work on Nokia handsets as the majority of Nokia handsets run the Symbian operating system.
What Countries will the software work in?
Txt2Lock will work on any Network and in any Country that can deliver SMS Text messages to your handset.
How do I know if the text message I sent arrived at my Phone?
At the moment you have to rely on the Mobile Networks to deliver the message to your handset. We cannot tell whether the software has reached your handset, we are, however working on this and will provide an alert when a Level 2 alert has been activated.
Do I need GPRS with Txt2Lock?
No! You will need a mobile Internet connection to download the software via the Text you receive when you sign up but not to operate the software. You can, of course, install the software via Bluetooth, Cable or PC suite directly to your handset.
Can I change my registered handset?
We will be building this feature into the website into the near future. In the mean time if you upgrade please don't hesitate to contact us via the website.
I can't find the application on my phone?
The location of the installation will be dependent on your handset. Txt2Lock will either be in the main menu, the 'My Own' folder or the 'Installation' folder.
What happens if the 'Thief' puts a different Sim in my handset?
If you have activated the software this will make no difference to the software working and your phone, as well as memory card, will be protected. We do, however, STRONGLY, recommend you put the PIN lock on your Sim card to protect yourself from unwanted calls on your bill.
Why do I need an online account?
The software will work independently of your online account. The online account is something we give to you for added security such as PIN2 in case you forget your personal PIN number. We have also thrown in 5 free SMS messages in order for you lock your handset in case you can't borrow a friend's handset.
Can I buy more Text messages for my account?
Yes! Your account can be topped up in the member's area.
Why do you offer free Text messages?
Mainly to back you up in case you are unable to borrow a friends phone or use a public SMS service.
Will there be new features and services to Txt2Lock?
We are currently working on new ideas as well as covering more handsets so please keep an eye out.
My activation key does not work, what shall I do?
Please contact us on the website immediately.
How do I know your software is safe to use?
The software has been hard tested in house and has been signed off by Symbian's own Test Safe House to provide you with reassurance that your handset is safe with our software.
I've changed my email address. Can I change my login details?
In your personal members area you can change your details. Please log in with your existing email address and change the email field to your new one.
I've forgotten my account details. How do I retrieve them?
There is a lost password feature on the website to reset your details. Please make sure you use the email address you have registered with us.
